Abstract: The paper analyzes the influence of climate change and landscape-geographic features on the conditions for the formation of surface runoff. The long-term forecast of climate change in the Kharkiv region by the Holt-Winters method has been performed. A new method for estimating surface runoff in water objects is proposed, taking into account the coefficient of soil infiltration. The coefficient of soil infiltration of the Kharkiv region is determined. The application of the proposed method of estimation of surface runoff in water bodies is considered, taking into account the soil infiltration coefficient for the territory of the industrial enterprise of the Kharkiv city. The method of estimation of surface runoff into water bodies, taking into account the soil infiltration coefficient, can be applied to all types of catchment areas in order to determine the dangerous impact of diffuse pollution sources.
